the challenge
For Lauren’s custom Showit website for mental health, the goal was to create an online space that mirrors the care and intention she brings to her therapy practice. Wildflower Root Therapy supports women through the tender, often disorienting seasons of motherhood, loss, and identity shifts—and the website needed to feel just as grounding, compassionate, and steady as the work she does.
Together, we clarified her new brand name, shaped her messaging, and built a visual identity rooted in warmth and resilience. Soft watercolor textures, earthy tones, and organic lines come together to reflect Lauren’s values: safety, curiosity, collaboration, and the belief that healing doesn’t require perfect conditions.
The site design takes a gentle, intuitive approach—slowing the pace, creating space, and guiding visitors without pressure. It was important to design a flow that feels emotionally supportive, especially for moms arriving on the page feeling overwhelmed or unseen.
Rather than follow a formula, I built a custom Showit website for mental health that’s just as thoughtful and layered as Lauren’s therapeutic style. It’s more than a website—it’s a space that invites trust, holds complexity, and reminds visitors they don’t have to do the hard work alone.

For Lauren’s custom Showit website, the heart of the project was designing an online home that felt as supportive and steady as her therapy practice. Wildflower Root Therapy exists to guide women through the tender transitions of motherhood, loss, and identity shifts, and the site needed to echo that sense of warmth, grounding, and compassion.
We began by clarifying her new brand name and voice, shaping a clear message that aligned with her values of safety, curiosity, and collaboration. From there, we developed a visual identity that balanced resilience and softness—using watercolor textures, organic lines, and an earthy palette to reflect both the vulnerability and strength in her work.
The design takes a gentle, intuitive approach: slowing the pace, creating space, and guiding visitors without pressure. For moms who may arrive at the site feeling unseen or overwhelmed, the flow was intentionally structured to feel calm, reassuring, and emotionally supportive.
Instead of leaning on formulas or generic mental health templates, we created a custom Showit website for therapy that feels layered and personal—one that mirrors Lauren’s therapeutic style and invites trust from the very first click. The result is more than a website; it’s a digital extension of the safe, collaborative space she holds for her clients.
I had launched my private practice in 2018, and had gone with a drag and drop website I did by myself on Wix. It was fine as a starter website, but really did not accurately represent the way I have really niched over my seven years in private practice, and I have been feeling for awhile like I wanted to change my name from {my name and credentials} to something a little more inspiring. When I first connected with Jordin, her previous project portfolio and her "easy-going while also being a complete go-getter" attitude helped me see that this was the perfect opportunity and person to help propel me into the next phase of my business. She asked all the right questions to help me articulate how I want to present myself, as well as helping me clarify who I am as a brand and what my values are. The design process was very fun, very collaborative, and I really felt like she was an expert at crafting the right look--all based on images that I chose as inspiration, but somehow even more 'me' than the pinboard I had put together. She's an excellent copy writer, and it was such a relief to have someone else find the words for what I was trying to express. She captured the voice and tone I wanted beautifully, and made the whole process doable and so very aligned with my values. If you're on the fence--hire her!
